Clean Spirited is pleased to announce our November charity of the month, EcoLogic Development Fund.  EcoLogic was established in 1993 in order to conserve the planet’s diminishing diversity of life in a way that addresses the needs of local people.  EcoLogic works with poor, rural communities to help them become better environmental stewards in order to save their forests and water and improve their living conditions. They put local people in charge and provide communities with the tools they need to sustainably manage their natural resources. EcoLogic currently operates in Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Belize and Panama.  EcoLogic works to design and implement projects that meet the needs and priorities of the local people. An essential element of this approach is to partner with local organizations that reflect the values and interests of the communities. This helps them to adapt their work to the people and culture of the area and promotes the long-term sustainability of projects by establishing local leadership that can perpetuate their efforts.  EcoLogic has helped over 700 communities in Latin America to improve their well-being and become stewards of their land. Collaborating with local partners, they have established sustainable livelihoods and strengthened community participation in natural resource management, creating more than 5,000 jobs and providing support for the conservation of over 6 million acres of critical habitat and the protection of over 1,200 water sources.  Clean Spirited is proud to donate $1 from every order to this very worthy cause.
